Phone mast all set to get green light

A CONTROVERSIAL mobile phone mast planned for Greenock Cricket Club should be given the go ahead, say planning chiefs.
T-Mobile is seeking permission from Inverclyde Council to put up the 15-metre high tower — which would be disguised as a ‘replica flagpole’ — beside the club boundary wall in Brisbane Street.
Residents in the area are not bowled over by the plans and have lodged a string of objections in a desperate bid to have the application knocked for six.
