HOMES SOLD 'IN DESPAIR' OVER MAST

Homeowners are moving house in despair, after a mobile phone company built a telecommunications mast in the face of opposition from residents and the council.That was the message from a councillor at a meeting of Restormel Borough Council's cabinet on Monday, which discussed developments regarding the erection of a 15-metre high mast by O2 at Wheal Northey, St Austell.
A residents' action group was set up in January to fight the proposals on the grounds that the mast poses a threat to public health, especially to that of children in nearby schools.
