White House Misrepresents Cheney's Classification Authority
Steve Aftergood of Secrecy News reports: "The White House press office and some Bush administration critics are insisting that the 2003 executive order on classification policy endowed the vice president with a unique status and classification powers identical to those of the president himself. But that's not what the executive order says."
