Weakened Gulf Coast Still Sees Over-Fishing
Population growth has led to over-fishing on the Gulf coast. Federal officials have a mandate to protect fisheries from over-fishing, but fishery managers in the Gulf and elsewhere have ignored the law and allowed unsustainable fishing for many important fish, scientists say.
