"Ludicrous" plans to put up a mobile phone mast next to one of Leamington's historic landmarks have come under fire.
Mobile phone company O2 hopes to erect a pole and other equipment on a grassy area in Heemstede Lane in Lillington.
But when Warwick district councillor Coun Eithne Goode received a letter about the plans last week, she realised the mast was only a short distance from the Midland Oak - said to mark the centre of England.
