Defeated phone giant's stance enrages residents

A BITTER dispute between battle-hardened anti-mast campaigners and phone giant O2 shows no sign of letting up.
About 50 Meadvale residents attended showdown talks with James Stevenson, community liaison officer for O2, on Wednesday last week, over the company's persistent efforts to install a phone mast in the area.
But according to residents the meeting served only to exacerbate existing tensions.
