We won't go until mast plan is ditched

RESIDENTS who live next to a site where a mobile phone mast is due to be erected have launched a peaceful protest – and say they won't budge until Vodafone abandons the development.
The residents, who have been peacefully protesting over the past two days, are campaigning against the Vodafone mast which is to be built at the corner of Masterman Road and Keppel Place, outside a spiritualist church in Stoke.
They say they don't want the 12-metre mast due to its height, proximity to nearby homes and fears that it could be unsafe.
They have been battling against the development since it was first proposed in February – but say now their only choice is to protest.
