Anger over mobile mast ‘discrepancy’

RESIDENTS are furious that a mobile phone company is going ahead with plans to erect a mast after an alleged discrepancy in their planning application was revealed.
In its application to Plymouth City Council, Vodafone said it needed a new mast in Stoke because its existing mast on the old Stoke Damerell School building was the subject of a “notice to quit”.
But it has emerged that Vodaphone were not asked to leave the site by the owner. The company now says that it is moving the mast because of security concerns.
