PROTESTORS claim planning laws may have been breached in relation to the approval of plans to build a mobile phone mast near four schools.
Campaigners battling against O2's plan top build at Wistaston, near Crewe, last night decided to send a four-page formal complaint to Cheshire East Council chief executive Erika Wenzel.
They were advised to take the step after presenting their concerns to the local government ombudsman.
Among their claims are that a petition with 300 signatures was ignored by planners, only a small number of residents were informed about the application and head teachers and governors of the nearby schools were not consulted, as required by legislation.

RESIDENTS are being invited to a protest meeting tonight (Monday) to fight a council decision to approve an O2 mobile phone mast on the corner of Valley Road and Readesdale Avenue in Crewe.
