Bids sought for Twin Pines cell tower

The Hopewell Township Committee voted unanimously Monday night to advertise for bids for construction of a cell phone tower on the wooded portion of the Twin Pines Airport tract.
The 50-odd acre tract, off Pennington-Lawenceville Road and Federal City Road in the southeastern section of the township, is being purchased by Mercer County and Hopewell and Lawrence townships for recreational use. The airport’s grass landing strip will be converted to athletic fields.
