Katharine Q. Seelye, of The New York Times: "Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton defended staying in the Democratic nominating contests Friday by saying that her husband did not wrap up the nomination until June 1992 and that, 'We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.'

The real war is a war against constitutional government, personal liberty, and national sovereignty

Open Borders Prove "War On Terror" Is Superficial

by Chuck Baldwin

No, my friends. The real war is not a "war on terror." The real war is a war against constitutional government, personal liberty, and national sovereignty. It is a war against the fundamental principles of America's Founding Fathers, that America should be a friend and trader with all, but engaged in entangling alliances with none. It is a war against the Bill of Rights. It is a war against the Spirit of '76, the spirit that says America is a free and independent country, subservient to no international entity or interest. It is a war against.......

Working Class Weary of War

Spencer Ackerman writes for The Washington Independent, "Across 29 California ports, as many as 25,000 longshoremen - members of the firebrand International Longshore & Warehouse Union - refused to show up for work in protest of the US military presence in Iraq. Activity at the ports was significantly diminished on May 1 - the international day of labor solidarity. Labor historians interviewed by The Washington Independent were hard-pressed to remember the last antiwar labor strike of this magnitude."
