I WONDER if Marsden is rapidly becoming the Communications Mast Capital of Yorkshire?
This semi-rural village sits in a natural amphitheatre in what was once a ‘box canyon’ until the arrival of the canal and railway in the early to middle years of the 19th century. It was previously cut off from Lancashire (let alone the world) except for a tortuous and dangerous packhorse trail to Rochdale.
