Dean Baker, writing for Truthout, says: "Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is known primarily for his year and a half of cheerleading President Bush's economic record. That is why his sudden cry last week that the economy is in 'desperate' need of stimulus from the government is so striking. This is a bit like the pope saying that God does not exist."
