Bill McKibben for The Washington Post says the most crucial development in the fight against global warming this month was the findings of NASA scientist James Hansen, who has "offered a simple, straightforward and mind-blowing bottom line for the planet: 350, as in parts per million carbon dioxide in the atmosphere."
