In a losing battle Big Pharma ’s largest election expenditure, half a million dollars, was spent on Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) who promised to preserve the Medicare scam, whereas his opponent, Bob Casey Jr., regularly attacked Medicare Part D as a giveaway to Big Pharma. Santorum has been on the Big Pharma payroll for some time, previously receiving over $250,000.
