Protect Our Public Water Systems
We need you to take action to make sure that our public water systems are protected! The Bush administration has proposed policy changes that would weaken health protections under the Safe Drinking Water Act. This could result in up to three times or more cancer and other disease-causing chemical contaminants than is currently allowed in the drinking water for millions of Americans. Send an e-mail to EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson and tell him to protect access to clean drinking water.
Act now to protect our public water and to demand adequate funding so that all municipal water systems can meet drinking water standards that protect our health. The public comment period ends May 1, so take action today. Let's make sure we keep our public water safe—and public!
