Currently, new mobile phone masts are only subject to the ‘prior approval’ procedure. DIE LINKE unterstützt den heute veröffentlichten Aufruf des Bündnisses für ein Sanktionsmoratorium bei Hartz IV. Dazu erklärt die stellvertretende Parteivorsitzende Katja Kipping (MdB):

Hartz IV ist ein Armuts- und Ausgrenzungsgesetz und gehört abgeschafft. Die sofortige Aussetzung aller Sanktionen bei Hartz-IV-Bezug wäre ein erster Schritt in Richtung einer grundrechtskonformen Ausgestaltung sozialer Sicherungssysteme. Um das Grundrecht auf eine Existenzsicherung und Teilhabe eines jeden Menschen tatsächlich zu garantieren, fordert DIE LINKE in ihrem Wahlprogramm darüber hinaus die sofortige Abschaffung des Sanktionsparagrafen 31 bei Hartz IV und der Bedarfsgemeinschaftsregelung. Die Regelsätze sind auf 500 Euro zu erhöhen. Hartz IV ist in eine bedarfsdeckende und sanktionsfreie Mindestsicherung umzuwandeln. SPD und Grünen können sich ihre Krokodilstränen im Wahlkampf sparen. Es war die rot-grünen Koalition, die mit Unterstützung von CDU/CSU und FDP Hartz IV beschlossen hat. Die derzeitige Koalition von CDU/CSU und SPD hat dieses unsoziale Gesetz in mehreren Punkten noch verschärft. Hartz IV bedeutet, keine Sicherung der Existenz und der gesellschaftlichen Teilhabe. Gleichzeitig mit Hartz IV wurden mögliche Sanktionen radikal verschärft. Den Betroffenen wird die ohnehin schon viel zu geringe Absicherung durch Sanktionen gekürzt bzw. gänzlich versagt. Dieser Entzug des zum Leben und zur gesellschaftlichen Teilhabe Nötigsten ist das wohl wirksamste Mittel, Menschen gefügig und zu Bittstellern zu machen. Hinzu kommt teilweise rechtswidriges Verhalten der ARGEn und JobCenter, wie die extrem hohe Zahl von Widersprüchen und Klagen zeigt, die zugunsten von Hartz-IV-Beziehern entschieden worden sind. Die Bundesregierung musste in der Antwort auf eine Kleine Anfrage der Fraktion DIE LINKE zugeben: Im Jahr 2008 wurden 41,5% der Widersprüche gegen Sanktionen voll bzw. teilweise stattgegeben. Sogar 65,3% der Klagen gegen Sanktionen waren vollumfänglich bzw. zumindest teilweise erfolgreich. (Vgl. BT-Drs. 16/13577) Die repressive Sanktionspolitik und -gesetzgebung der Bundesregierung von CDU/CSU und SPD trifft auf einen entschiedenen Widerstand in den Sozialen Bewegungen, Erwerbsloseninitiativen, Wohlfahrtsverbänden, Kirchen, Gewerkschaften, bei Künstlern, Wissenschaftlern und Politikern. Das Bündnis für ein Sanktionsmoratorium, dem ich angehöre, hat über 100 prominente Persönlichkeiten aus diesen Bereichen für die Erstunterzeichnung der Forderung nach einer sofortigen Aussetzung des Sanktionsparagrafen 31 bei Hartz IV gewonnen.

Hohe Sanktionsquoten bei Arbeitslosen

Die Medien berichten über Sanktionen mehrheitlich unter dem Motto: „Arbeitsunwillige Hartz IV-Empfänger werden verstärkt sanktioniert.“ Es werden dann auch geringe Quoten angegeben, die den Eindruck erwecken, es sei nur eine kleine Minderheit betroffen. Doch diese Darstellung ist falsch, wie hier gezeigt wird.

Normalerweise beziehen sich die veröffentlichten Sanktionsquoten auf alle erwerbsfähigen Hartz IV-Empfänger. Die Mehrzahl ist aber nicht arbeitslos, sondern bezieht nur ergänzende Leistungen oder ist in Maßnahmen wie Umschulung, Qualifizierung oder 1 Euro-Job beschäftigt. Dann werden sie nur wenig behelligt mit dem Ergebnis geringer Quoten. Umso höher sind diese bei den Arbeitslosen.

With great anticipation, I trucked over to the posh St. Regis Hotel, just north of the White House, to see Ambassador Richard Holbrooke and his team at an event sponsored by the Center for American Progress. I shouldn’t have bothered. The weird thing about the event is that in the room were literally hundreds of the Washington foreign policy elite, current and former officials, people with lots of experience in the Middle East and South Asia, and, of course, journalists, too. And Holbrooke brought with him literally his entire team, minus a few who couldn’t be there: top regional experts such as Barnett Rubin and Vali Nasr, and about a dozen other members of Holbrooke’s Af-Pak task force. But the session was boring, pedestrian, and so mind-numbingly simplistic that it seemed like Holbooke and Co. were talking to third graders. And their goal was to convince us that the ‘civilians’ involved in the Thirty Years’ War in Afghanistan can rebuild that shattered nation from the ground up. They didn’t convince me...

If, as the latest reports indicate, Eric Holder is serious about prosecuting the worst torture and abuse of ‘war on terror’ prisoners that occurred during the Bush administration, then there’s some key evidence he’s going to want to take a look at: photographs. Although Bush Justice Department prosecutors claimed they didn’t have the facts to support prosecuting anyone for the mysterious deaths and disappearances of detainees hauled out of Bagram and Abu Ghraib in body bags, the photographs — which two courts have now ordered the Obama administration to turn over — would seem likely to provide some of the missing evidence. The photos I’m talking about are the same ones that President Obama back in April promised to release to the public by May. Then, after consulting with Defense Department and CIA leaders, he changed his mind...

It is 15 - love to Wimbledon Village residents battling to block the erection of phone masts which will be used by security officials in the event of terror attacks during the 2012 Olympics.

The application to build three phone masts on top of Somerset House, a block of flats next to the All England Club - venue for the 2012 tennis tournament - was withdrawn after dozens of complaints were received by the council condemning the equipment as ugly and unsafe.

Well Actually: Some people are allergic to WiFi. It can cause headaches & muscle pains in some people, i know this because i have a friend that can not be around WiFi. Me, i have WiFi in my house and love it, so i am not a WiFi hater. The same type of "allergies" occur with these new "energy efficient" light bulbs. Energy Efficient Light Bulbs emit almost 10 times as much electro magnetic radiation as a regular light bulb. An older friend of mine runs a garage repairing cars, he has around 30 lights in his garage. A few years back he replaced all the lights in his garage with these energy efficient light bulbs. Soon after he had awful pains in his back and arms. Doctors ran tests for a year and could not find any thing wrong. We saw a story on TV about how these light bulbs are causing problems like this in some people, we told him, he removed them and now his pains are gone.

People can say what they want but i know first hand that people can and do have "allergies" to WiFi and Energy Efficient Bulbs.
