Mast row council made previous blunder

The Norfolk council at the centre of a row over a controversial mast plan was previously criticised for a blunder by the Local Government Ombudsman, it emerged today.
In yesterday's Evening News, we launched our new campaign calling upon a mobile phone giant to scrap plans to build a mast on a site where it only won planning consent due to a council blunder.
People living in Reepham Road, Hellesdon thought they had successfully fought off plans for the mast, until it emerged last week it would be built after all because a letter sent by the council did not arrive quickly enough.
The campaign for O2 to reconsider its plans for the mast has already been backed by concerned families, MPs and local councillors.
