A bureaucratic blunder means families will soon be living under the shadow of a phone mast, just months after they celebrated the plans being rejected.
A letter sent by council bosses to O2 informing the mobile phone company that its plan had been rejected did not arrive quickly enough and that means the mast will be built in regardless of the decision to refuse it.
