Flintshire parents' fears at plans for phone mast near school

FEARS have been voiced over plans to install a mobile phone mast in the middle of a housing estate, next to a primary school.
Residents of Englefield Avenue, Connah's Quay, have handed a petition of more than 300 signatures to Alyn and Deeside MP Mark Tami, protesting against the proposed phone mast.
Mobile phone network giants Vodafone have put forward plans to install the eight metre phone mast near the junction of Englefield Avenue and Hillside Avenue.
But it has been met with outrage from nearby householders, who say it is too near Bryn Deva Primary School, given the uncertainty surrounding phone masts and health risks.
