That is, what do we do about more and more people retiring, and fewer and fewer left working to pay into Social Security and Medicare to pay their mounting bills? RP: That’s the question of the age. Politicians aren’t very likely to solve it responsibly by cutting benefits and raising taxes to bring it into balance. Nor will they go to a system where people assume responsibility for themselves.
