Call for answers over masts

A city MP has called for a definitive answer into the possible health risks of mobile phone masts after an Evening News survey revealed that hundreds of children were still being taught within metres of them.
Dr Ian Gibson, MP for Norwich North, said people were confused about whether masts did potentially harm people, and called for a review of a report by Sir William Stewart in 2000, then the government's chief adviser on mobile phone safety, which recommended as a precaution that masts should not be sited near schools.
