200 SIGN UP FOR PETITION OVER PHONE MAST 'TREE'

More than 200 people have signed a petition against plans for a 20m mobile phone mast which would be disguised to look like a tree.
The proposal to put up the mast in a field at Town End Lane is being considered by Rushcliffe Borough Council's development control committee on Thursday.
A petition against the plans has been signed by 237 people and the council has received 39 letters of objection.
Objectors are concerned about health and safety risks from the mast, impact on the nearby conservation area and the effect on house prices.
