Schonvermögen soll verdreifacht werden

„Die finanzielle Situation von Langzeitarbeitslosen soll verbessert werden. CDU/CSU und FDP wollen das Schonvermögen für Hartz-IV-Empfänger von 250 Euro auf 750 Euro pro Lebensjahr verdreifachen, wie die Generalsekretäre der Parteien am Mittwoch erklärten. Damit können Hartz-IV-Empfänger künftig mehr von dem für das Alter gesparte Geld behalten. Zudem sollen sie mehr hinzuverdienen dürfen, ohne dass das Arbeitslosengeld gekürzt wird. Kosmetische Korrektur

„Hartz IV ist unsozial und ungerecht. Diese Botschaft ist auch bei FDP und Union angekommen. So plädiert NRW-Sozialminister Karl-Josef Laumann (CDU) in den Koalitionsverhandlungen dafür, den Freibetrag für das Altersvorsorgevermögen zu erhöhen. Das soll Erwerbslose entlasten - sie würden eher Arbeitslosengeld II (ALG II) erhalten und wären seltener gezwungen, ihre Ersparnisse fürs Alter anzugreifen. Fraglich allerdings ist, ob das vielen Menschen nützen würde. Die Zahlen der Bundesagentur für Arbeit (BA) deuten daraufhin, dass der Effekt gering wäre. Zwischen Januar und September 2009 wurden nur knapp 25.000 Hartz-IV-Anträge wegen zu hohen Vermögens abgelehnt. Ein bisschen Sozialkosmetik

Wer fürs Alter gespart hat und dann arbeitslos wurde, darf in Zukunft viel mehr behalten als bisher. Ausgerechnet Union und FDP wollen also nun die "Gerechtigkeitslücke" schließen, die sie bereits im Wahlkampf entdeckten. Den Arbeitslosen, die in Zukunft mehr behalten dürfen vom Ersparten, ist das von Herzen zu gönnen, genau wie denjenigen, deren Häuschen künftig verschont bleibt. Aber man tritt ihnen auch nicht zu nahe, wenn man hinzufügt: Das schwarz-gelbe Gerechtigkeitsempfinden hat seine ideologischen Grenzen - wie gerade dieses an sich erfreuliche Ergebnis der Koalitionsverhandlungen beweist.
