I'm still surprised, though, that he won the prize after killing so few people.

Barry In The Bush With Smiles
By David Michael Green
Obama doesn't actually appear to be doing anything that requires any particular toughness. He's not trying to sell a bs... war or dismantle Social Security, like Bush. He's not trying to end legal and institutional racism in a country where it was as pervasive as bibles in 'Bama, like Lyndon Johnson did. He's not attempting to bring the country kicking and screaming into the twentieth century, even after it was already one-third over, like FDR was.

Nobel Prize for Promises?
Howard Zinn, Truthout: "I was dismayed when I heard Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize. A shock, really, to think that a president carrying on wars in two countries and launching military action in a third country (Pakistan), would be given a peace prize. But then I recalled that Woodrow Wilson, Theodore Roosevelt and Henry Kissinger had all received Nobel Peace Prizes. The Nobel Committee is famous for its superficial estimates and for its susceptibility to rhetoric and empty gestures, while ignoring blatant violations of world peace."
