Mobile phone mast close to school rejected

Controversial plans to build a mobile phone mast close to an Inverness primary school have been rejected by a Scottish Government reporter.
Vodafone wanted to build a 40ft mast at the St Ninian Drive and St John’s Avenue junction, next to Dalneigh Primary School.
The proposal was unanimously rejected by the Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey planning committee in February, against the advice of council officers who had advised them that refusal on health grounds was “not a material planning consideration” and that citing visual impact would also be irrelevant.
