Why do so many Americans seem so unconcerned about our liberties being eaten away? I think there are a number of reasons, such as just not wanting to believe that our nation is in trouble, or, as I've said before, being so personally invested in one political party that they will deliberately blot out apparent truth. Feeling helpless, unable to have an effect is another reason, but the one reason that drives me crazy is the attitude that 'Bad things only happen to people who deserve it ...
