The wrong of "rights"

It's disturbing to read comments from Americans who display pathetic misunderstanding, ignorance and disregard for the meaning of 'rights.' Claims of 'rights' by various groups and their supporters reflect wants and often illegitimate demands they expect government to impose, rather than the individual rights divinely bestowed as envisioned by our Founders. As Alexander Hamilton wrote in 1775, 'The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for ...' They are etched in our 'human nature, by the hand of divinity itself ...'
