Opposition to plans for mast close to school and nursery

EDUCATION leaders have vowed to protect the health of thousands of students after opposing plans for a new mobile phone mast, just yards from the gates of Newquay's biggest school.
Telecoms giant Vodafone applied to Restormel Borough Council to build a 10-metre high mast with antennae close to the roundabout at Trevenson Road, just over 50 metres from Tretherras School and Happy Days nursery.
