Auch Strohfeuer können wärmen

Zum Wahlgeschenk Abwrackprämie erklärt Bundesgeschäftsführer Dietmar Bartsch:

Die Verlängerung der Abwrackprämie ist eine ökonomische und politische Fehlentscheidung und im Kern auf den 27. September ausgerichtet. Union und SPD orientieren ihre Politik nicht an den aktuellen Erfordernissen sondern am Wahltermin. Ja, auch Strohfeuer können wärmen. Der drohende Einbruch des Automobilmarktes wird aber nur verschoben nicht aufgehoben. Die Abwrackprämie ersetzt kein Konjunkturprogramm. Für die Abwrackprämie werden die Steuerzahler zur Kasse gebeten. Wir freuen uns für diejenigen, die sie nutzen können. Hartz-IV-Bezieher und über eine Million so genannte Aufstocker hat die Bundesregierung als Wähler offenbar schon abgeschrieben, denn sie können von der Abwrackprämie nicht profitieren. Das ist sozial ungerecht. Die Abwrackprämie ist keine "Umweltprämie", wie von Regierung suggeriert wird, weil sie unabhängig von Spritverbrauch oder CO2-Ausstoß des Neuwagens gewährt wird. DIE LINKE fordert ein wirkungsvolles Konjunkturprogramm, das Unternehmen der Automobilindustrie aber auch anderen Branchen zu gute kommt.
