In 2003, three senior U.S. diplomats abruptly ended prestigious careers and gained international attention by noisily resigning in protest over the U.S. war in Iraq. In interviews on Tuesday on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the invasion, the three said they have lived more modestly without government salaries but the chaos that has followed President George W.
