Berlin muss 13 Millionen Euro als Schadensersatz an den Bund zurück zahlen, weil es Hartz-IV-Empfänger nicht schon nach einem halben Jahr aus ihrer Wohnung warf. Dazu erklärt die stellvertretende Vorsitzende der Partei DIE LINKE, Halina Wawzyniak:

Soziale Politik hat heute einen herben Rückschlag erlitten. Der Umzugsdruck auf ALG-II-Beziehende wird steigen. Die Gestaltungsspielräume verantwortlicher Politikerinnen und Politiker in Kommunen und Ländern werden durch dieses Urteil weiter eingeengt. Obwohl das Gericht die Forderung des Bundes nach 47 Millionen Euro Rückzahlung abwies, befürchte ich, dass mit diesem Urteil die Länder und Kommunen Armut per Gesetz, bekannter als Hartz IV, nunmehr noch restriktiver umsetzen werden, um zukünftig nicht vom Bund in Regress genommen zu werden. Ich würde es begrüßen, wenn die Bundesregierung die Banken-Rettungs-Milliarden genauso rigoros eintreiben würde, dann könnte der Bund auf die „Peanuts“ aus Berlin locker verzichten.

Rettungspaket für Krisen-Arbeitslose notwendig

Der stellvertretende Vorsitzende der LINKEN, Klaus Ernst, fordert nach der Veröffentlichung der aktuellen Zahlen zum beschleunigten Jobabbau in der deutschen Wirtschaft ein "Rettungspaket für die Krisen-Arbeitslosen". Er wirft Kanzlerin Merkel Untätigkeit bei der Abfederung des Arbeitsmarkts vor. Er erklärt:

Alles Schönreden hat nichts genutzt: Die Krise schlägt jetzt voll auf den Arbeitsmarkt durch. Jobs werden massenhaft abgebaut. Das sind die Arbeitslosen der Regierung Merkel, die viel zu wenig getan hat, um den Arbeitsmarkt abzufedern. Für Banken wurden übers Wochenende Milliardenhilfen beschlossen. Bei Jobsicherung und Arbeitslosen wird geknausert. Das verstehen die Menschen zu Recht nicht. Wir brauchen jetzt schnell ein großes Rettungspaket für die Krisen-Arbeitslosen. Das Arbeitslosengeld I muss in der Krise für alle Anspruchsberechtigten auf 24 Monate verlängert werden. Sonst fallen nächstes Jahr Hunderttausende in Hartz IV. Staatshilfe für Unternehmen darf es grundsätzlich nur noch gegen Jobgarantien geben. Außerdem müssen die Vermögens- und Einkommensprüfung für Kurzarbeiter, die mit ihren Familien in Hartz IV fallen, gelockert werden.

‘There are those who claim we have to choose between paying down our deficits … and investing in job creation and economic growth,’ President Obama said last week. ‘This is a false choice.’ During the same speech, he asked his audience to ‘let me just be clear’ that his administration, having racked up the biggest budget deficits ever, is embracing fiscal responsibility, as reflected in his vow that ‘health insurance reform’ will not increase the deficit ‘by one dime.’ For connoisseurs of Obama-speak, the address featured a trifecta, combining three of his favorite rhetorical tropes. There was the vague reference to ‘those who’ question his agenda, the ‘false choice’ they use to deceive the public, and the determination to ‘be clear’ and forthright, in contrast with those dishonest naysayers. These devices are useful as signals that the president is about to mislead us...

„Das Bündnis der Medienverbände und -unternehmen hat sich anlässlich der heutigen mündlichen Verhandlung über die Verfassungsbeschwerden gegen das Gesetz zur Vorratsdatenspeicherung in einem Schreiben an das Bundesverfassungsgericht zu Wort gemeldet. Darin benennt das Bündnis die negativen Auswirkungen des Gesetzes für die Medienfreiheit in Deutschland, da die Journalistinnen und Journalisten keinen Informantenschutz mehr gewährleisten können. Mit seinen erneuten Angriffen auf muslimische Frauen schürt Thilo Sarrazin weiter Ängste vor dem Islam. Letzte Woche veröffentlichte die ARD eine Studie nach der sich nur 22 Prozent der Deutschen keine Sorgen machen, dass sich der Islam in unserer Gesellschaft zu stark ausbreitet. 39 Prozent haben ein wenig Sorge und 36 Prozent machen sich große Sorgen um eine Expansion des Islams. Sarrazins Angriffe in Kombination mit dieser Studie sind in höchstem Maße beunruhigend, ist es doch nicht das erste mal, dass in Zeiten wirtschaftlicher und sozialer Krise versucht wird, mit rassistischen Parolen von den Ursachen derselben abzulenken. Sarrazin betätigt sich als geistiger Brandstifter.

Zu den Forderungen des deutschen Nato-Generals Lather nach bis zu 1000 zusätzlichen deutschen Soldaten für ein "effizienteres" Vorgehen und des CDU-Verteidigungspolitikers Schockenhoff nach einer "Anpassung des Mandats an die Erfordernisse", erklärt Christine Buchholz, Mitglied des Geschäftsführenden Parteivorstands der Partei DIE LINKE:

Diese Forderungen laufen auf einen blutigeren Krieg hinaus. Mit den geheim veränderten Regeln für Soldaten und der Bombardierung von Kunduz hat die Bundeswehr ein Strategie-Wechsel hin zum offensiven Töten von Afghanen eingeleitet. Dies lässt die Vorbereitung eines offensiven Krieges befürchten, nach der das Ziel die "Eliminierung" so vieler Aufständischer wie möglich ist. Das erinnert an die Strategie des Bodycounts der USA in Vietnam. Leidtragende ist die afghanische Bevölkerung. Die Bundeswehr ließ Frauen, Kinder und Männer in Kunduz töten. Das ist ein Kriegsverbrechen. Die Aufstockung der NATO-Soldaten wird mehr Afghanen und Soldaten das Leben kosten. DIE LINKE lehnt den Krieg in Afghanistan ab. Die Bundeswehr muss sofort abziehen.
