Sicherheitskonferenz wird Welt unsicherer machen

„Die Bundesregierung unterstützt diesen privaten Kriegsratschlag alljährlich mit fast einer Million Euro Steuergeldern und hunderten Bundeswehrangehörigen, die als Gratis-Leiharbeiter eingesetzt werden. DIE LINKE fordert ein unverzügliches Ende der staatlichen Subventionierung“, so das Mitglied im Parteivorstand der LINKEN, Jan Korte, zur morgen beginnenden 46. Münchner Sicherheitskonferenz (SiKo). Er erklärt:

Die diesjährige Konferenz durchbricht in einigen Punkten ihre jährlich wiederkehrende Routine: Der große Aufmarsch an Staats- und Regierungschefs wird ausbleiben, China wird erstmals mit von der Partie sein und das Wachpersonal wird diesmal nicht von der Bundeswehr kommen. Ansonsten? Same procedure as every year! Obwohl sich Allianz-Aufsichtsrat Wolfgang Ischinger, der die SiKo seit letztem Jahr leitet, alle Mühe gibt die Konferenz moderater und zivilisierter erscheinen zu lassen und sich dadurch von seinem Vorgänger Teltschik durchaus unterscheidet, so hat sich deshalb noch nichts am grundlegenden Charakter der Veranstaltung geändert. Die Münchner Sicherheitskonferenz bleibt ein Treffen, das von Rüstungsindustrie und Kriegspolitikern dominiert wird und auf dem die führenden Militärmächte dieser Welt ihre Interventionskriege besprechen und sich dafür gegenseitig Legitimationen verschaffen. Neu ist vielleicht, dass Ischinger gezielt versucht immer mehr Vertreter aus den Vorstandsetagen ganz unterschiedlicher Kapitalbranchen zu rekrutieren. Im Kontext der globalen Krise des Kapitalismus nimmt auch die globale Konkurrenz um knapper werdende Ressourcen und Absatzmärkte spürbar zu. Unter dem Label „Sicherheitspolitik“ wird in München die Militarisierung der Weltpolitik vorangetrieben. Diesmal in besonderer Einigkeit mit denjenigen Kapital-Kreisen, für die die weltweite Sicherung von Energiezufuhr, Märkten und Rohstofflieferungen zentral ist.

As President Obama prepares to unveil his $3.8 trillion budget for fiscal year 2011, which begins Oct. 1, the White House is projecting the current fiscal year will end with a $1.6 trillion deficit, congressional sources confirmed to Fox News. Next year’s budget will have a nearly $1.3 trillion debt, according to those sources, dropping to just over half that — $700 billion in fiscal year 2013 — before jumping back up to $1 trillion in 2020, the furthest out that budgeters will predict. A $1.6 trillion deficit would represent more than 10 percent of the gross domestic product, but the White House says over the next 10 years, the average deficit will represent only 4.5 percent of GDP annually...

The Flu and the WHO

This programme was removed and then it appeared again with a different title: from the WHO lied it becomes to the WHO exaggerated in the scope of the flu. They simply changed the definition of pandemic, although it was the same as the regular flu which is never defined as pandemic (maybe THIS was where they went wrong...by not calling the regular flu a pandemic and making this as gold standard...and they were caught! auchhh)

It covered many interviews including Dr Wolfgang Wodarg and many other medical skeptics on how governments had been fooled by the change of definition of a pandemy etc... A stupid interview of a WHO official in Geneva denying any influence from industry and blablabla. But on the whole a rather harsh blow into the organization.

Nein zum Krieg! Kein Soldat mehr!

Zur Regierungserklärung zu Afghanistan erklärt Christine Buchholz, Mitglied des Geschäftsführenden Parteivorstandes der Partei DIE LINKE:

Die Bundesregierung spricht von einer "neuen Strategie" in Afghanistan. Aber sie verkauft alten Wein in neuen Schläuchen und hält an ihrer bisherigen Strategie fest: Die Regierung unterstützt das unbeliebte und korrupte Regime Karsai, ordnet die humanitäre Hilfe der militärischen Logik unter, baut die afghanische Polizei und Armee als Bürgerkriegsmilizen auf und setzt auf militärische Aufstandsbekämpfung. Das Neue ist lediglich, dass es mehr von Allem gibt und die Regierung nun offiziell eingesteht, dass wir uns im Krieg befinden. Damit erweitert sie den rechtlichen Spielraum der Soldaten in Afghanistan. Mehr tote Afghanen und mehr tote deutsche Soldaten werden die Folge sein. Die Verdopplung der Entwicklungshilfe ist ein Feigenblatt der Regierung, um der Bevölkerung die Entsendung von mehr Kampftruppen schmackhaft zu machen. Medico International kritisiert zu Recht, die Regierung instrumentalisiere die Hilfsorganisationen für den Militäreinsatz. Eine wirksame zivile Aufbauhilfe setzt einen sofortigen Abzug der Bundeswehr voraus. DIE LINKE lehnt die Afghanistan-Strategie der Bundesregierung ab und ruft zu den Aktionen der Friedensbewegung "Kein Soldat mehr" am 20. Februar auf. Wir bleiben dabei: Die Bundeswehr muss noch in diesem Jahr bedingungslos und vollständig abziehen.
