Nach Armutsbericht: Hartz IV Erhöhung gefordert

Während die Reichen immer reicher werden, werden die Armen immer ärmer. Etwa 13 Prozent, gemessen an der Gesamtbevölkerungszahl aller Bundesbürger, gelten als Arm. Weitere dreizehn Prozent aller Bundesbürger sind akut von Armut bedroht und können nur durch sogenannte soziale Transferleistungen davor bewahrt werden. Angesichts dieser erschreckenen Zahl fordern nun zahlreiche Sozialverbände und Parteien eine deutliche Anhebung des Arbeitslosengeld II (ALG II) Regelsatzes.

Münchner ödp gegen neues Stammzellengesetz. Bitte an den Bundespräsidenten, Horst Köhler, um Nicht-Unterzeichnung.

In einem persönlichen Brief bittet der stellvertretende Stadtverbandsvorsitzende der Münchner ödp, Markus Hollemann, den Bundespräsidenten, das kürzlich vom Deutschen Bundestag beschlossene novellierte Stammzellengesetz nicht zu unterzeichnen, um damit das Inkrafttreten dieses Gesetzes zu verhindern.

Markus Hollemann: „Im Artikel 1 unseres Grundgesetzes wird die Würde des Menschen als unantastbar bezeichnet. Deshalb widerspricht die Regelung, deutsche menschliche Embryonen zu schützen, die Tötung und Verwertung ausländischer Embryonen aber zu akzeptieren, dem universalistischen Grundgedanken von Artikel 1 und damit der zentralen Wertaussage unseres Grundgesetzes. Die Menschenwürde ist unteilbar; unsere Rechtsordnung darf diesbezüglich nicht unterscheiden zwischen Ausland und Inland. Das Stammzellengesetz verstößt leider auch in seiner novellierten Form gegen diesen unverzichtbaren Grundsatz“.

Die ödp befindet sich hier in völliger Übereinstimmung mit den christlichen Kirchen. In seiner Osterpredigt sagte der Münchner Erzbischof Marx: „Man darf nicht zulassen, dass menschliches Leben zum Stoff degradiert wird. Da müssen wir Christen uns einmischen“.
