A community pub landlord has vowed to fight a revised planning application for a mobile phone mast near the business.

As the Evening News reported in May, T-Mobile notified Broadland District Council it planned to build a 12m mast near the Blue Boar pub in Wroxham Road.

Councillors rejected plans for the mast in summer, but the phone company has put in another application for a 12m mast and associated cabinets outside the pub.

The police and the Government can now access details of every phone call made

Details of every phone call made in Britain will be available to the police and the Government from on Monday.

A law is now in force requiring telephone companies to keep information about landline and mobile communications for up to a year.

ANGRY villagers turned out in protest after a mobile phone company put up a 40ft mast that had been refused planning permission.

More than 100 campaigners took to the streets of Little Lever in Bolton to accuse T-Mobile of `riding roughshod over democracy'.

The mast is in the centre of the village near its war memorial and a bus stop. It is also just 100 yards from a primary school.

It was refused planning permission in April when councillors said it was not in keeping with the area. Planners also ruled that T-Mobile had not submitted radiation certificates.
