Japanese mind control for wheelchairs

The Japanese have developed a wheelchair which "reads" thoughts from the user to control it. It makes changes in a fraction of a second.

This story, from a respected Chinese TV news channel, proves that electrical impulses from the brain can be interpreted correctly by electrodes in or adjacent to the brain. The scientist quoted says that the USA is also doing experiments, but using brain implants, used MOSTLY in animals.

Tiny electrical outputs from the brain are also used to move things in computer games (see Jedi for example).

Don't let anyone tell you that "thought reading" is impossible!

The Start Of The Second American Revolution?

Outraged Americans across the country get in the face of the system and yell, "Don't Tread On Me"

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Friday, August 7, 2009

For a long time people have been asking why Americans are not up in arms, screaming and shouting about their fast disappearing liberties along with the continuous passage of legislation that they vehemently oppose, from the banker bailout, to the cap and trade bill, to Obamacare. Well now they are screaming and shouting – and if the momentum continues to build, this rebellion could the spark to ignite the second American revolution.

Hegelian Dialectic, Pandemic and Creative Destruction

by Nancy Levant

In order to achieve one-world governance, existing systems all over the globe had to be dismantled and eliminated. For instance, national sovereignty, national loyalty, national patriotism, personally selected lifestyles, individual beliefs and preferences, and naturally occurring communities versus socially engineered "communities" had to be dismantled, eliminated, and redefined by think tankers financed by philanthropic and government money......

Playing Politics With a Ghost

Scott Ritter

Finding the remains of Navy Lt. Cmdr. Scott Speicher in Iraq provides long overdue closure for his family and comrades, but it also exposes the tireless exploitation of Speicher's disappearance in 1991 by Sen. Pat Roberts, a staunch Republican from Kansas, who used it to demonize the regime of Saddam Hussein and to justify the case for the invasion of Iraq.

The World Needs A Breather From The US.

By Mike Whitney

The $13 trillion the Fed has committed to the financial system since the beginning of the crisis --via loans and outright purchases of mortgage-backed garbage and US sovereign debt--was never authorized by Congress. In fact, the Fed stubbornly refuses to even identify which institutions got the "loans", how much the loans were worth, what kind of collateral was accepted for the loans, or when the loans have to be repaid.

The Expiring Economy

By Paul Craig Roberts

Tent cities springing up all over America are filling with the homeless unemployed from the worst economy since the 1930s. While Americans live in tents, the Obama government has embarked on a $1 billion crash program to build a mega-embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, to rival the one the Bush government build in Baghdad, Iraq.

Apple tried to silence owner of exploding iPod with gagging order

Murad Ahmed, Technology Reporter

Apple attempted to silence a father and daughter with a gagging order after the child’s iPod music player exploded and the family sought a refund from the company.

The Times has learnt that the company would offer the family a full refund only if they were willing to sign a settlement form. The proposed agreement left them open to legal action if they ever disclosed the terms of the settlement.

Perpetual war for perpetual war

The American Conservative
by Jeff Huber

08/06/09

U.S. Army Col. Timothy R. Reese says it’s time for the U.S. to ‘declare victory’ in Iraq and ‘go home.’ It was time to declare victory and go home in January 2007, when the Bush administration decided to ignore the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group and charged off on its cockamamie ’surge’ strategy. The original stated objective of the surge was political reconciliation in Iraq. By September 2007, when it was clear that the political objective was not in sight, Gen. David Petraeus pulled a bait-and-switch and announced that the military objectives of the surge were being met. Petraeus hagiographer Thomas E. Ricks slipped Freudian in February 2009 when he confessed that Petraeus’s goal was never to end the Iraq conflict but to trick Congress and the American public into extending it indefinitely by achieving short-term results though bribing Iraq’s militias...

Somalia is Obama’s new “Afghanistan”

Christian Science Monitor
by staff

08/06/09

The Horn of Africa is a hotbed of pirates, Islamic radicals, warlords, refugees, and, lately, foreign armies trying to influence this killing field. The epicenter is Somalia, a Muslim land largely in chaos since 1991 and — this is the big worry — a possible nesting ground for Al Qaeda or its allies. President Obama has taken on this trouble spot directly, as he has Afghanistan. He’s beefing up US military aid and training for Somalia’s besieged government, which can barely hold onto the capital, Mogadishu. And on Thursday, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton held a high-profile meeting with the country’s elected president, Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed...

U.S. food stamp list tops 34 million for first time

Reuters

08/06/09

For the first time, more than 34 million Americans received food stamps in May, the government said on Thursday, another symptom of the longest and one of the deepest recessions since the Great Depression. Enrollment surged by 2 percent to reach a record 34.4 million people, or one in nine Americans, in the latest month for which figures are available. It was the sixth month in a row that enrollment set a record. Every state recorded a gain, and Florida had the largest increase at 4.2 percent. Enrollment for food stamps, which help people buy groceries, is highest during times of economic stress. The U.S. unemployment rate of 9.5 percent is the highest in 26 years...

Old Banks, New Lending Tricks

Jessica Silver-Greenberg, Theo Francis and Ben Levisohn, BusinessWeek: "That didn't take long. The economy hasn't yet recovered from the implosion of risky investments that led to the worst recession in decades - and already some of the world's biggest banks are peddling a new generation of dicey products to corporations, consumers and investors."

The Other Looming Debate Over "Cash for Clunkers" Funding

The Stand For Sovereignty

by Pastor Chuck Baldwin

While few are advocating secession (at least not yet), the battle for State Sovereignty against Federal usurpation and expansionism has clearly begun. Americans should not fear the movement for State Sovereignty. Rather, we should embrace it; because it is the only saving grace and vehicle for freedom left in this Confederate Republic we call the United States of America. Unless we stand for State Sovereignty, freedom will most certainly fall. Therefore, Americans everywhere should encourage their State governors and legislators to follow the example of Alaska in boldly declaring their State's autonomy and sovereignty.........

Tougher phone mast rules proposed

Tougher planning rules for new mobile phone masts could be introduced in Wales.

Campaigners have welcomed the move, but mobile phone operators claim that it could damage Wales' digital future.

At present, new masts under 15m (49ft) tall are automatically erected unless councils object to them within 56 days.

But a report by academics commissioned by the assembly government has recommended that all masts should be subject to full planning permission.

The siting of mobile phone masts has been a controversial issue in some areas over the past few years, with worries particularly over health and the impact on house prices and the local environment.
